Stephanie Smith and Edward Stewart are Glasgow-based artists who set up allegorical situations over which they often have little to no control, but which instigate explorations of dependence and trust, the body, sex and death.
A simple request for a simple truth.
Smith/Stewart’s terse, neat proposals, always tested via performance, lead to provocative outcomes, and unpredictable ones at that; an exponential function of the situation they instigate and the people involved.
It will involve all of us, but to say exactly how would be to spoil things…

In addition to and overlapping their performance, Smith/Stewart will be screening their film Ahead in Cinema 2 on a loop. Ahead is one of our all-time favourite artists films; a simple road-movie like no other.
