Right so, we've banged on about Guy loads elsewhere already (check out the performance pages). Being great admirers of his films and performances, and while we have him, we've asked him to give a kind of annotated, chat through his optical sound films: films in which sound is often created directly from image (train tracks, stairs, railings, or bleached out film stock all running over onto the optical sound track of the film so that what you see is read by the projector (in effect a light bulb trying to read sound from a celluloid film strip – how does this work!) so that it is also exactly what you hear, or at least what the projector thinks what you see should sound like.
Guy will chat through some of his seminal sound films, as well as presenting a live version of his recent work, Mobius Loops.
