What's it all about?
A 3-day festival of experimental music, sound and performance. This year we've pulled in a clutch of artists to create a series of events that each explore different aspects of music that doesn't quite fit any given category.

What this requires of you
An open mind, an interest in things that don't fit into the normal, given categories, and to be in Glasgow between the 15th and 17th Feb 2008. Not much else. Well, let's be honest; you'll need a ticket. But we've made them real cheap: a mere tenner for a day or 25 quid for the whole lot. But then that's not much; it's cheaper than last year.
Call 0141 565 1000 or visit www.thearches.co.uk to book your tickets, find out where the Arches is, how to get there, accessibility and the like.
Thank you
Many thanks to all our supporters.
Where to stay
If you're needing accommodation in Glasgow during the fest, we have some ideas.

A late-night hang out in the coolest new venue in town with the best of local talent and a few international acts thrown in: hang out, sink a pint of mild and quiz Peggy Snow on her kazoo technique, or Alan Silva on what it takes to play with Sun Ra.
Entry free to day and fest ticket holders, otherwise it's £5
10:30 until 02:00
Michiyo Yagi
Sometimes delicate, sometimes harsh and jarring, Yagi's koto solos are as much inspired by Conlon Nancarrow, Otomo Yoshihide or John Cage as they are by her traditional training.
Incapacitants
Ecstatic, scalding and ludicrously heavy, nobody matches Incapacitants for live noise energy. One of the most exhilarating live acts in underground music.
Blood Stereo
Goofily deformed, deeply thought vocal jams: like the sound of your own breath rushing through your head.
DJ sets misshapen jams and absolutely no avant-garde music from Harbinger Sound head honcho Steve Underwood
10:30 until 02:00
Usurper
Bud Neill inspired clatter, potentially involving a skip, hundreds of comic strips and the contents of the Usurper twins pockets.
Neil Davidson and Aileen Campbell
Glasgow Improvisers Aileen and Neil live roughly equal distances from the Glasgow University bell tower, the tolling of whose bell can be heard all over the west end of Glasgow. It is a territorial sound which marks out space in that part of the city and regulates (supposedly) student behaviour, attending classes and so on. The bell is an evocative sound and Aileen & Neil want to get inside the structure of the sound in its environment rather than imitate it or simulate it. Confusing the realms between rehearsal and performance, public and private space, Aileen and Neil will restage aspects of their bell tower visit at the INSTAL CLUB.
KMVSNI
Kylie Minoise Vs Nackt Insecten
Feedback/ vocal physical threat 'vs' ecstatic electronic cloudbursts two of Glasgow's biggest draws
