DUNDEE CONTEMPORARY ARTS
A festival of open-ended proposals for image, sound and dialogue. Kill Your Timid Notion is DCA and Arika's festival of experimental image, sound and dialogue. It's a week-long chance to spend time together and investigate artistic actions that might speak about the world we live in today. The programme is comprised of FILM screenings, PERFORMANCES in the gallery, INSTALLATIONS in Centrespace and a series of 'INVESTIGATION' events that you can get involved in.

THE ARCHES, CCA, GLASGOW UNIVERSITY CHAPEL
This year's Instal programme features a smörgåsbord of lip-smacking delights from Hermann Nitsch, Otomo Yoshihide + Sachiko M, Phil Minton's Feral Choir, Joan La Barbara, Ki, Sean Meehan, Klaus Filip, Jérôme Noetinger + Jean Philippe Gross, and Ultra-red, to name just a few. Thanks to all who came and experienced the festival, and commiserations to those who couldn't get tickets to the sellout performances. We'll have video and audio online as fast as we can, if that's any consolation.

HALF LIFE

KILMARTIN GLEN, ARGYLL
Half Life was a major landscape project by renowned innovators NVA that took place in Kilmartin Glen in Mid-Argyll and offered a physical and emotive experience which revealed the dark but inspiring mindset of Scotland's early Neolithic inhabitants. Arika curated the sound elements for the daytime installations and brought Lee Patterson, Toshiya Tsunoda, Rhodri Davies and Angharad Davies to the project.

SHADOWED SPACES
6-15 JULY 2007

Shadowed Spaces toured overloooked, bypassed and unconsidered urban locations with 3 improvising musicians and 1 psychogeographer leading our intrepid audiences and a band of seagulls around Dundee, Aberdeen, Easterhouse, Newcastle, Cumbernauld and Edinburgh.
